SolarCT Tour ‘09
Connecticut Solar Tour ‘09

Welcome to the National Solar Tour in Connecticut homepage. We look forward to your participation in the single largest public demonstration of solar technology for homes and commercial buildings. The National Solar Tour is organized nationally by the American Solar Energy Society (www.ases.org) and promoted in Connecticut by Solar Connecticut (www.solarconnecticut.org), a non-profit organization dedicated to building a solar community in the state.

The Connecticut Solar Tour is held on the first Saturday of October from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. There is no cost to visit any of the installation sites. This event is a perfect opportunity for those interested in solar power to see first-hand the types of installations and technologies of interest to them. Tour sites are hosted by knowledgeable installers, designers, or site owners who will be prepared to provide information and discuss system details.

Featured sites are posted in late summer and a map is provided. Please check back to get details on the next solar tour.

Other resources: The Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (www.nesea.org) organizes the National Solar Tour of the Northeastern United States. They have site listings for all adjacent states (and some additional sites for CT) and we encourage you to see what may be offered just over the border. See http://nesea.org/buildings/openhouse/
